Estimate grease relubrication intervals and quantities for rolling element bearings. Accounts for bearing type, speed, temperature, contamination level, and mounting orientation to help you build an effective PM schedule.

Temperature and Grease Life
Operating temperature is the single biggest factor affecting grease life. For every 15°C above 70°C, the relubrication interval is halved. This is why temperature monitoring is critical for bearings operating in hot environments.
Over-Lubrication vs Under-Lubrication
Both are harmful. Under-lubrication causes metal-to-metal contact and accelerated wear. Over-lubrication increases churning losses, raises temperature, and can cause seal damage or grease breakdown. The calculated interval helps you find the right balance.
Signs of Lubrication Problems
Vibration monitoring can reveal lubrication issues before they cause permanent damage. Rising overall vibration levels, increasing high-frequency energy (ultrasonic range), and elevated bearing temperature all indicate that relubrication is needed.
